D’Heldt distributes professional dishwashing machines from Dutch manufacturer Rhima. In our range, you will discover different types, from simple front loaders to complex washers with slide-through dishwashers, pre-rinsers and basket conveyors. Is your Rhima washing machine malfunctioning? Then find out how to fix it below. We list the most common problems and explain the possible causes and solutions.
My Rhima dishwasher leaks
You can miss a leaking dishwasher like a toothache. In some cases, it is possible to fix it yourself. To do this, first find the source of the leak. Is it located at the bottom of the machine or inside? Next, check your appliance’s water supply, drain and pipes. Make sure they are connected correctly.
A lot of other defects can cause a leak. Think, for example, of broken PVC pipes, the metal welds not working as they should, or a pump defect. In such cases, contact D’Heldt. We are happy to take a look on site to solve the fault as quickly as possible.
General Rhima malfunctions
The most common faults with Rhima dishwashers are an appliance that does not turn on, a wash tank that does not fill and a display that does not indicate the correct temperature. Furthermore, there are sometimes comments about the quality of cleaning or drying. These faults are usually easy to repair yourself. Does the problem persist? Do not hesitate to contact us.

Specific Rhima faults
In addition to these general faults, Rhima dishwashers also signal specific error messages. They indicate these in different ways:
- the different colours of the START button
- instructions on the display, such as DOOR to close the door
- alarm messages on the display, usually indicated by a number
The error messages themselves also vary from appliance to appliance. So be sure to refer to your dishwasher’s manual to correctly interpret and resolve the fault. Usually, it is about the boiler or wash tank not getting to the right temperature, a too low water level in the wash tank or a filter fault. Often these are the signal for faulty components, such as the sensor in the boiler or wash tank, or the pump for rinsing the dishes, increasing the water pressure or draining dirty water. In such cases, be sure to contact D’Heldt.
One of the most common Rhima malfunctions is the thermal motor protection. This is triggered when the wash pump is jammed. First check that the power supply is OK. If it is, there are probably one or more objects stuck in the pump. Try to remove them yourself when you know what you are doing. Or contact us so that one of our experienced technicians can help you further.
