Installation of professional kitchen island at Crowne Plaza Hotel Bruges

D’Heldt recently installed a customized professional kitchen island from Menu System at the renowned Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bruges. The installation was challenging, but went efficiently thanks to exceptionally good cooperation with the hotel team.

The previous stove at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bruges – also from Menu System – had an impressive lifespan of 20 years, testifying to durability and quality. With the installation of the new cooking island, the hotel is now equipped with the latest technology in induction cooking.

Menu System is known for its innovative induction technology. This revolutionizes professional kitchens with greater energy efficiency and a high level of operational safety, combined with digitalization and smart networking capabilities.

But the biggest advantage is that their kitchen islands are so robust. With 5mm thick stainless steel and an eye for detail in all aspects of construction, a Menu System kitchen island is truly a long-term investment.

Challenging installation

This project presented unique challenges, including transporting a 700-kilogram stainless steel stove through the narrow, medieval streets of downtown Bruges, unloading while it was snowing, and demolishing the previous stove. Thanks to meticulous planning and the valued support of the local police, we successfully completed this complex operation.

The collaboration with the Crowne Plaza Bruges team went exceptionally well. Their professional approach and dedication made it possible to complete this project efficiently and effectively.
