Scope
This Privacy Notice applies to all privacy-sensitive information or personal data you provide to us, for example through a registration form, contact form, or orders you place. We value the privacy of our customers, taking the utmost care when handling and protecting personal data. We process data in accordance with the conditions imposed for this in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). D’Heldt is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR with respect to the processing of your personal data. This means that we determine which personal data are processed, for which purpose, and in which manner. We are responsible for ensuring that your personal data is duly processed, with the utmost care, in accordance with the GDPR. In this Privacy Notice, we explain which data we process and for what purposes we use it.
Overview of personal data
Below is an overview of the personal data that we process:
- First name, surname
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Address
- Phone number
- E-mail address
Purpose and basis for the processing of personal data
By agreeing with this privacy statement, you expressly consent within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR to the processing of your personal data for the purposes listed below. You can revoke this consent at any time. However, if you do not provide certain information to us or have it processed by us, we may not be able to provide proper service.
If you have not given us explicit consent to process your personal data or have revoked such consent, the processing of your personal data may be subject to Articles 6(1)(b), (c) and/or (f) of the GDPR. In such case, processing of your personal data may take place without your consent, provided this is necessary for the performance of an Agreement to which you are a party, or is necessary for the protection of D’Heldt’s legitimate interests. In addition, we may be lawfully required to process your personal data.
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Handling your payment
- Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure
- Calling or e-mailing you as and when necessary to perform our services
- Informing you of changes to our services and products
- Allowing you to create an account
- Delivering goods and services to you
We do not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected.
Provision to third parties
We may share your personal data with third parties if this is compatible with the aforementioned purposes. Disclosure to third parties may be necessary for the performance of the Agreement we enter into with you, to pursue our legitimate interests, or for complying with any legal obligation incumbent upon us. We enter into a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for these processing operations. In all other situations than the foregoing situations, we only provide your personal data to other third parties with your express consent.
Commercial purposes
We may use your personal data for commercial purposes, e.g. to provide you with further information about our services or relevant products or services from carefully selected organizations. In that case, we will notify you of such processing by e-mail to the e-mail address with which you registered. If you do not wish to receive information about relevant products or services, you can easily indicate this by clicking “unsubscribe” in the e-mail you received.
We also use your personal data for market research and the optimization of our services. In that case, your personal data will be anonymized and can thus no longer be traced back to you.
Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes unless you give your express consent.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit this website. You can opt out of these cookies by setting your Internet browser to stop storing cookies. In addition, you can also delete any information that was previously stored in your browser’s settings.
We use the following cookies:
- Functional cookies: these are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preference settings. They also allow us to optimize our website. Analytical cookies: these do not breach your privacy. As such, we do not require your prior consent for this.
- Tracking cookies: we use cookies to track your browsing habits so that we can provide customized content and advertisements to you. On your first visit to our website, we will have already informed you about these cookies and requested your consent for using them. You can opt out of cookies by adapting your browser settings to stop storing cookies. In addition, you can also delete any information that was previously stored in your browser’s settings.
- Google Analytics: this website uses cookies from the American company Google as part of the “Analytics” service. D’Heldt uses this service to obtain reports on how the website is used and to measure its quality and effectiveness. We use Google Analytics in the manner prescribed by the Personal Data Authority. As such, we fall under the exception in the cookie law, which means that we do not require your prior consent to use Google Analytics.
- Leadinfo:
We use the lead generation service provided by Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, The Netherlands, which recognizes visits of companies to our website based on IP addresses and shows us related publicly available information, such as company names or addresses. In addition, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies for providing transparency on how our visitors use our website and the tool processes domains from provided form inputs (e.g. “leadinfo.com”) to correlate IP addresses with companies and to enhance its services. Right to access, correct, or delete
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. In addition to this, you have the right to revoke any consent you may have given to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data. You have the right to data portability (“data portability”) if we have digital personal data that we either process with your consent or process to perform an Agreement we have concluded with you.
This means that you can submit a request to us to send the digital personal data we have about you in a readable computer file to you or another organization named by you.
You may send a request to access, correct, delete, transfer your personal data, or request the revocation of your consent, or object to the processing of your personal data to info@dheldt.be.
To ensure that you personally have submitted this request for access, we ask that you append a copy of your ID to the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is necessary to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but always within four weeks.
We would also like to remind you that you have the option of filing a complaint with the national regulator, the Dutch Personal Data Authority.
